Getting a bit too comfortable on the subway in New York can now get your arrested. According to a report just released by the Police Reform Organizing Project, two Latino men were arrested on May 22nd at 12:11am by NYPD for ‘manspreading’, that is, sitting with their legs too far apart.
This is likely the first incident where this ‘epidemic’ led to an arrest and court appearance.
