Lesbian couple Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer have been awarded $135,000 for “emotional damages” by an Oregon judge against bakers Aaron and Melissa Klein of Sweet Cakes Bakery. In 2013, the Christian couple declined to provide a wedding cake to the same-sex couple, sparking nationwide controversy.
The women claim a lengthy list of 88 symptoms they have suffered due to the emotional distress at not obtaining their special cake.
